Psychodynamic Counselling & Psychotherapy in Warminster.
About therapy
Psychodynamic therapy is a form of talking therapy that encourages you to think about things you are struggling with or patterns that you feel have been repeated throughout your life. The work is based on the idea that there can be more going on beneath the surface than we are aware of, and it can be helpful to explore this with someone who is not connected to your everyday life, who can listen without judgement or personal agenda. I aim to create a space where it feels safe to be curious about yourself, working with you to make connections between the past and present, developing a greater understanding of what is important to you.
People access counselling and psychotherapy for a wide variety of reasons, and in my practice I work with people individually as well as couples. You may have a clear idea of what you would like to address, or just a general sense that things don’t feel right but you are not sure why. Anxiety, depression, hopelessness and anger can often be manifestations of something internal that we have yet to address, and therapy can be a useful tool to help you identify the causes.
